How to thrive as a designer while AI reshapes our job

AI is changing not only what we design, but how we design it. New models, tools, workflows, and “this changes everything” moments arrive faster than we can adapt.

But not every new release changes the job. And being good at the newest tool isn’t the same as becoming a better designer.
In this talk, I’ll share three practical ways to work through that uncertainty: how to tell when AI has actually changed the way we design, which skills are worth investing in, and how to turn experimentation into real experience rather than just keeping up with the latest tools.

Through concrete examples from my own work at Meta, we’ll look at what is genuinely changing in design practice – and what becomes even more valuable as AI gets better.
