Jonathon Colman leads global content design at HubSpot. He’s a Webby Award-winning designer and keynote speaker who’s led design and content teams at Facebook, Intercom, and IBM.

Before HubSpot, Jonathon spent years shaping how people experience digital products at scale — leading product and content designers at Intercom to reinvent customer support, defining UX content strategy for Facebook Marketplace (one of the world’s most-used commerce platforms), and becoming the first principal UX architect in REI’s history.

But his most formative work happened offline. As a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa, Jonathon worked on public health initiatives in communities with limited resources — an experience that sharpened his instinct for communication that actually reaches people where they are.

He holds an M.S. in Information Management from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Technical Communication from Michigan Tech University.

When he’s not obsessing over words and systems, Jonathon can be found on his bike (probably on Zwift) or walking across Dublin, where he lives with his wife — the artist Marja Huhta — and Lola, the Wonder Mutt.
